New find: The Conran Shop

Same old story: one of the blogs I follow - Bright Bazaar - featured this shop and I loved his finds ! So bright and pretty ! So I went over to take a look, and I loved the stuff. So I picked out some stuff that I would grab:

This couch is featured on the above-mentioned blog. Isn't it so bright n funky ! I love it !

Isn't this plate so cool..it's the map of PARIS ! It's one of the set of six plates; the other cities featured are - Rome, London, New York, Venice and Tokyo. I think it would really be fun to have this set !

Loving it

Stumbled upon a great site --> Red...and began choosing things I wanted, as usual.

I was emptying spam from my inbox and I saw this mail and got curious enough to open it. It took me to this wonderful site, and I chose some wonderful stuff to show here.

Dhow House, Kenya

I was reading 'Departures' last night. It is a travel magazine and my boss left me a bunch of them before leaving for NY. I came across this really interesting villa in Lamu Island, Kenya which looked so Indian. I looked it up on the internet and here are some of the pics:

The cushions, the bolsters and all the furniture and upholstery ...doesnt it look like its a haveli in Rajasthan ?! Except for the African men in the last picture, I don't think I could really tell the difference.

Wishlist

So Diwali is near and I am simply going berserk shopping. Thankfully when I was in Mumbai this time I dint get any time to shop so my bank balance wasn't hurt too bad. But the week before, I crazily spent about 6 grand, no my sis and myself.

I think this is the first time I shopped on impulse. Dunno wats wrong with me.

So I am creating a tiny..err okay not so tiny..wishlist for diwali :) :) Here goes:

Le Kebabiere

My first visit to this place. I really liked the color scheme - pink n blue - and the right shades of both. They have created a very nice and comfortable ambiance. Pretty knick knacks all over the place. I expected it to be very expensive, but was surprised that it wasn't. Cocktails started from Rs. 350. and that is cheap considering the location, which is a part of Stone Water Grill. 

The food was lovely. We ordered an ulte tave ka paratha and it just melted in my mouth. Awesome ! The dal was okay. The prawn starter was super. My cocktail - apple rock martini was really gud ! Very courteous staff. Good service.

Good Homes

I have decided to do a lil piece on home stuff every week... I just love the decor blogs I follow..the come up with simply lovely stuff... I constantly try to do up my home, even if its just a lil here and there (as much my purse strings permit). Its really fun..and these few things a re on my want list right now...

I love the color and print of this upholstered chair... It would fit right into my living room (I'd make place even if it didn't ) Then I would cozy up with a lil blanket and my book and play some music..a perfect weekend afternoon. This and the bonsai tree below are from this site.

I have developed this liking to plants ..and now bonsais. I still have to get my first one, and now I think this will be it. If only I could find this on the streets of my dear city :P

I found these lovely cushions at this site called aestheticart. I adore kitch and this is sooo totally IT ! I love the rich hue of the background n the faces are so alluring. I totally LIKE !

Aint this lamp so dainty and unique, I found it here...Its such a brilliant idea. It looks partly antique and partly modern. i just love it and it would be perfect for my desk :)

How cute is this tape holder. I mean can't they come up with such things here in India?? Coz the elephant and the work is so Indian. We shud really be the ones selling this. I want. You can get it here.

I know this is a home-decor post, but I came across this bag today and just couldn't help putting it up here. It is so me. It reflects the arty me and I so want it. Am sure I can find a similar one some where in Bombay or Delhi. Am on the lookout now. Found it here.
