Lonesome
She stood there, just staring into oblivion. It had been three days now. He hadn't come for her yet. Her heart didn't want to believe the things her mind was forcing upon it. The strange dream she had last night was haunting her. She could never have imagined having so many conflicting thoughts at one time. At one moment, she felt a rush of emotion and at the very next she was numb. What could possibly have kept him away? She had never doubted his love. She wasn't here to test him. Flashes of their tumultuous past flickered in her head. They had braved it all, hadn't they? Then how could this create such a deep void? Were some questions better left unanswered? Ironically, she didn't know that too.
