The museum

(painting by Gerard Boersma: young ladies)

It was her first visit. She had broken the rules, but was she afraid? She was too deeply consumed by the beauty of the Van Gogh in front of her to bother. She would deal with all that later. She just had these few days to explore the artistic wonder, that which she had craved to discover years ago. What had held her back then? Was it will? submission? or maybe a sense of guilt? She felt little guilt the day she had slipped away unnoticed. Lutetia had beckoned and she ran behind, blinded by passion. It was better late than never. How long did she have to wait? When can you be done proving love? Questions left unanswered, as always.
