My Name Is Khan

I love him. I love him and I love him some more. I love him so much that S is apparently quite jealous and keeps dissing him. That's how much I love him.
I loved him since the DDLJ days, through the bad bad days (namely Duplicate, Om shanti om etc. ) and fell in love again and again and yet again (Swades, Chak De and MNIK).

I wasnt able to drool over him soon enough as MNIK released at a time when I was swamped with work. With all the controversy surrounding it, and the pressure building up around, I was quite proud of HIM for standing firm and holding his ground. Brownie points for him.

Anyways, after a real horrid week, I finally caught MNIK with S (how sweet of him to come along to get tortured) We went for the late nite show even tho we had to be up early the next. I had heard mixed reviews about the film, so I had my fingers crossed (only for the plain fact that I dint want to be abused by S for the next 100 years)

The movie started off OK. We all know whats it about, a love story (Its KJo after all) entwined with the whole post-9/11 Muslim victimization. Nevertheless, S had this strange look all over his face when I mentioned tat it was a love story ! Anyways, I, all excited, eyes glued to the screen, was just praying that he wudnt be too disappointed. And well, he wasn't. If S has liked an SRK film, take it that it cant be tat bad after all. After all, he calls him 'makadtondya' (monkey-face) most of the time. Ya, so I liked the movie. Not so much the last half hour, but it was nice. HE has acted really well, the funny mannerisms et al. Kajol is gud too and their chemistry is still rock solid. Other cast did not matter...but a special mention to the guy who played Obama, Gosh r u kidding me !!! oh oh oh I almost forgot, Sonia Jehan who plays SRK's sis-in-law in the movie looks so beautiful ! (after all, she's half-french half-pakistani)

I wouldnt recommend this movie to all, for I know for a fact that many cannot stand KJo etc. But I liked it, as I knew I would coz it has HIM. I am a crazy fan, what can I say. For me, he can do no wrong. I have a very very soft corner(s) for him. He did well, thats all I care. If KJo had not screwed up the end with all his melodrama, it would have been a good movie. Even for non-SRK fans. For me... He is GOD !
