It was 1 pm, hot, hot sun, but we still had to do what we had to do. I was visiting Chaturshringi temple after about 3 years. I used to go there often when I was in college with my friends as it was so close by.
Its shameful to admit that till this visit, I always thought it was a shiv temple. S told me, chuckling away, that Chaturshringi is another form of Durga. Gosh, how misinformed was I, and I'd been there so many times.
We climbed up the numerous steps, Stairway to Heaven, as S put it. We had to remove our slippers after a point and god, then we realized how hot it was actually. My soles were burnt for sure. Just about 10 steps bare feet did the damage. Unlike a gurudwara which has a place to wash your feet, this didn't, so we had to limp all the way down. But it was fun :) Everything was just the same. We didn't get the big ladoos as they were over :( The lil shops still flank the main road leading to the temple. I saw some pretty lamps there but didn't dare to venture in fearing S's wrath.. Ha ha ha.A fun trip after a long time and the first time there with S.
