A couple of friends and I went to HRC the other day. One of them invited us as her brother told her that there was a gig on, students from his drum class were performing. We thought it would be fun and set out all happy.
To say the performance was terrible is being too generous. It was down-right torture. I wish they had given one of my friends the mike. She would have sung better any day. I don't know who chose the singers but gosh - the pitch was off, the tempo was so screwed up, it was just shocking! My fav. songs like Zombie and With or Without You was totally messed up by the performers.
Anyways, so we decided to just use up our cover charges, have our own fun and move out. What was even more strange was that noone was booing ! Everyone seemed to enjoy the mediocre (at best) music. Maybe they were all friends of the performers. I'd like to believe that.
