Wow ! Can something like this actually happen? It really does seem possible. It was all so real.
A typical disaster movie from the director of 'Independence Day' and 'The Day After Tomorrow.' 2012 was well made, but too long. It lasted for 2.5 hours. It is about the 2012 doomsday prophecy by the Mayans etc. The earth is going to be destroyed by a cataclysmic event. The US as usual knows about it first and they team up with other nations to build huge arks/ships to withstand it all. People are sold tickets and then things start falling apart.
I dint think an English movie could be so long. The could have done better if they had cut short some parts, coz by the end it started to drag a bit. But I enjoyed the movie thoroughly ! I love the effects, the cities being ripped apart by earthquakes, the eruption of the Yellowstone volcano, all the major monuments collapsing. Awesome man. My muscles were aching by the end of it all, coz I had them clenched throughout. Even after we came out, I felt I was still in the movie.
It was a good children's day outing ! Dad and I first went to Adlabs but it was crowded as hell. We then proceeded to Inox, where we finally saw the movie. Fun movie ! A must watch for disaster movie lovers.
