Dad, sis and I caught this movie in Bombay over the weekend...I wanted to see this movie for Kareena. She looks just too gorgeous in the songs. So we went.
The movie was pretty decent, a bit like New York, but different. It wasn't too heavy, considering the fact that it was about terrorism. The director was a bit confused at times, coz he didn't know what he was trying to portray. At times he came across as anti-Muslim, even though he may have been trying to show otherwise.
Its about a girl who falls in love with this guy. She is from NY so they go there to teach. They live in an Indian neighborhood. Soon she realizes something is amuck, coz the next-door guys are behaving strangely. She finds out a bombing plot and a dead girl and then it hits her that Mr. Saifoo is a terrorist himself. She tries to get help, which comes in the form of Mr. Oberoi, who manages to do an OK acting job. A huge attack is being planned on subways and Bebo is carrying a bomb, unaware of it all. Finally, Saifooji realizes that he loves Bebo and does not want her to die, and it all ends like that.Oh, and some hot, steamy scenes are added in between. The only song I remember, Shukran Allah, is melodious, but more so, the picturization is great!
Overall, a one time watch. Kareena stole the show, totally. My eyes were glued to her ;)
