I planned this lovely surprise for S's mom, who turned 50 a few days back. Since she was holidaying in Goa at the time, we couldn't celebrate with her. So, I decided that we would surprise her when she returned.
We decorated the entire living room, as well as her bedroom with streamers, balloons and other decorations. A chart paper was put up !! S and a friend helped in blowing the balloons ! She hadn't celebrated like this in years, am sure !
I got a lovely cake from "Bread Story," which I was apprehensive about since I was trying it the first time. 'Fruit Ecstasy' or something like that. It turned out to be really tasty ! (thank god)
The table was decorated with flowers ! It was great fun doing it all, because they were to arrive at any moment and we were in a tearing hurry to finish.
It all looked good, when finally S went out to get some soft drinks to go with the meal. What great timing.. they arrived just few minutes later !! The surprise bit was dampened, but she loved it ! And that's all that mattered !
Alls well that ends well ! Happy 50th Birthday Aunty !!! Many many more to come :)
